What
can you expect from us? |
|
Our
policy has always been to provide our clients and patients
with the best possible levels of diagnostic work-up and treatment,
whilst offering a range of treatment options to allow our
clients to make well-judged decisions based upon their individual
priorities.
One of the first practices South of the river, we first opened
in 1966, when Dr David Parkinson left his practice in England
to start Melville Animal Hospital. Roseanne Hughes, one of
Melville’s founding veterinary nurses, still works with
us today.
Dr Howard Hughes joined the practice in 1969, and in 1973
Dr Murray Reid came on board.
After Dr Parkinson left to explore other interests, Drs Hughes
and Reid took over ownership.
In 1994, bringing with him vision and a contemporary outlook
on veterinary care.
The ‘new look’ hospital was opened in September
1995, to the benefit of pets, their owners and staff alike.
In July 2005 Dr Murray Reid decided to sell his interest in
the hospital and Jodi Thomas who has managed the practice
for the last 3 years was able to fulfill her dream of becoming
a part owner of "the best practice in Perth!"
Dr Murray Reid is continuing on in the practice part time
and is enjoying his well earned "time off" during
the week.
