Clinic Renovation Update – What You Need to Know

We’re thrilled to announce that Melville Animal Hospital will be undergoing a long-awaited renovation, beginning Monday, 11th August. This is a major step forward for us, and we’re incredibly grateful for your support as we upgrade our facilities to serve you and your pets even better.

What’s Happening?

Our renovation will last for approximately eight weeks, pending no major delays. During this time, we’ll be making exciting changes, including:

Four new consulting rooms

Two state-of-the-art surgical facilities

A refreshed, modern space for you and your pets

This upgrade has been in the works since 2020 and was unfortunately delayed due to COVID—our last renovation was back in 1994, so we’re well overdue!

How Will This Affect You?

🏥 Clinic Services

We want to reassure you that Melville Animal Hospital will continue operating as normal throughout the renovation. We have access to a temporary space attached to the clinic, which allows us to continue offering full surgical and medical services.

However, we do ask for your patience as we adjust to our temporary setup. Our commitment to your pet’s care remains unchanged.

📷 X-Ray Services

While most services will be unaffected, X-rays will be temporarily referred to Port City Emergency Hospital in Palmyra. If your pet requires an X-ray, we’ll organise it for you, and then continue treatment as usual at Melville.

Important Changes to Know

🚗 Parking

Please be aware that parking will be limited during the renovation. We kindly ask that you:

Arrive a little earlier for your appointment.

• Park on Rome Road, directly in front of the clinic.

• Note that Kitchener Road entrances will be blocked off during this time.

🐶 Pet Food Orders

Due to limited storage space:

• We will not be stocking Prime food during the renovation.

• We will be reducing overall stock, so please call ahead for any pet food needs.

• Let us know in advance so we can order food in for you as needed.

Thank You

This is a big moment for our clinic, and we’re so excited to share it with you. Thank you again for your ongoing support, patience, and understanding during this time of transition.
