Aaron was born in Northern California where he spent his childhood hiking, fishing and catching anything that didn’t have a rattle for a tail. His family then moved to Hawaii to slow down, where he enjoyed the ocean lifestyle through his high school and uni years. He then moved out to WA to attend vet school, graduating from Murdoch in 2009.
As a new grad, Aaron had multiple roles in Perth's southern suburbs, working for a local GP clinic, a mobile vet and in emergency, simultaneously. After this, he spent 2 years in the Northern Territory, enjoying his time in a rural mixed practice, remote indigenous communities and embracing all the outback had to offer. He then moved back to Perth to focus on his interest in small animal surgery.
Over the past 10 years or so, this journey has weaved a path through a surgery internship, emergency work, a small animal surgery membership (2018), being head small animal surgeon in 2 GP/emergency clinics, and now here to Melville.

Aaron is passionate about being an advanced GP surgeon, loves teaching and has a strong appetite for both soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. He enjoys most things soft-tissue related such as abdominal surgeries, BOAS corrective surgery, salivary mucocoeles, and mass removals. Orthopaedicially, he has performed hundreds of TPLOs and regularly does other orthopaedic procedures such as FHNEs, extrcapsular repairs, MPL corrections and partial tarsal arthrodeses, and various fracture repairs.

Dislikes:
His enemies, taxes, rubbish coffee, irrational/inconsiderate people, and individuals who don't know it’s actually legal to change lanes behind you on the freeway (I mean come on, there is absolutely no one behind me for miles…you planned poorly and now you’re cutting me off?! Ridiculous.)

Loves:
In the rare time he is not working or with his family, he enjoys great coffee, good food, time with friends, going to the gym, drawing, playing the uke, and diving.
However, there is nothing dearer to him than being somewhere peaceful with his 2 wonderful girls, beautiful wife and their cute, but trying pets.
